C. Nick Elam, Jr., DVM

Graduated from the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine in the Spring of 1974 and opened my practice on July 15, 1974.

Doctor Elam has a special interest and has practiced reproduction in large animal practice, until the early 90’s when he decided to make small animal medicine his focus.

In 1994 he expanded his small animal practice to include reproduction and started freezing and storing canine semen with the help of an associate from Pennsylvania.

In 2002, he joined the European Society of Small Animal Reproduction and attended a 5 year course of study in small animal reproduction which concluded in 2008. He traveled to Europe for one week a year for 5 years to complete this course.

Married to Dr. Elam since October 1, 1999. 

From Henrico, Virginia.  Chairman of the Virginia Memorial Quilt Project (www.vmqp.com) - a project that coordinates quilters from around the Commonwealth of Virginia who make quilts for the families of our Virginia fallen Heroes since the U.S.S. Cole of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Global War on Terror. 

Member of the Powhatan World War II Committee of POWRight - a local conservative group with a focus on letting our WWII Veterans know how much we appreciate their sacrifices.
